I watched this live stream, Niconico Cospl​lection Live a​t Nicofarre -D​ay 1- that was streamed on the 8th of March of 2014. Meaning today. Or yesterday. Depends on where you are living. And in around 4 hours will start the broadcast from the second day.

Once I start watching something I kind of can't just stop and I want to finish it, so I can't really tell if it was awesome or not. I don't know how you use nicovideo and there probably wasn't something I could do about it, but I only saw the English comments on the video screen. There were people chatting and leaving their impression, but not that many. I can't tell you the opinion of the Japanese public, but the English-speaking watchers didn't seem that impressed about the show. They sometimes pointed out some gaps in the planning of the event and its management, and weren't impressed because the participating people seemed not to be many. But it's true...it wasn't as big of a festival as you'd imagine or as they made it be, because there seemed to be few people and on the stream it sometimes looked like a local cosplay convention.

I won't talk much about it because I can't really comment, I can assure you I only remembered the three announcers's names and none others and I don't know anything about the respective cosplayers. There were people who seemed to be known/ popular but I don't know them. I'm not up to date to the cosplay community and its personalities hehe.

I'll just post the pics I took of the screen and maybe add a short comment on some of them, + maybe I'll write which caras I can recognise in case someone wants to know.

And you need to know I started watching the streaming when around 1 hour had already passed (I think? or was it less?) and I didn't even stay there and took pics of the show. I tried to take pics of the whole group that went on stage to have at least a pic of them all and some cosplayers individually (especially those that I liked). But I missed some groups even after I started watching.

But it was definitely a nice watch and I really liked the people participating. It was peaceful and nice! There weren't so many cosplayers with awesomely detailed costumes as you'd think, but it was nice!

I'm going to make the pics show in original size but I hope the page won't be heavy and cause you trouble accessing. Well the pics are not actually big, but they're around 80.

Announcer Hamako in the lobby or what they called it, talking with the cosplayers waiting there. Everyone in this place was coplaying, including the cameramen.

 Announcers Danii and Kami. Everyone called him Dany (with the accent on Dany but he wanted to be called with the accent on i. Everyone was doing it on purpose, haha) He kept calling her Sailor Mercury and I don't know if he really couldn't remember the right one or if he was doing it on purpose.

 They both have nice voices. His voice made me think of Yoshino Hiroyuki.

 They talked about the spear, how it's handmade, and mostly of paper, and it's light.

 He is a guy and he loves Free!. Can it be better? he had a nice body too, and he was tall, taller than everyone on the stage. Perfect.
I couldn't stop jumping around when he was shown.

 He was pretty much in character and I wonder if that's just how he is or he was trying. I mean especially the posing. The posing was awesome when he got on stage but I only got one pic! Oh!

 You see the getting a little touchy comment because Hoozuki touched Rei's abs, and not just for a second. He tried to feel. Maybe also because a bit earlier Neptune touched a Miku's chest; and said only girls are allowerd to do this.

I don't know where they're from, what game or whatever. I thought it'd be Castlevania but I don't think that's what they said. They were Japan's representatives for something, and acted a skit, a short performance. It was great because it had people wondering if it wasn't a mirror because they were acting a mirror. It was obvious there wasn't any but it was well done.

And awesome poses and acting, in my opinion.

They were really friendly too.

 Sailor Neptune (Kami/Kamy, idk how it's spelled) was excited to see them there and was happy to be there with them so they tried to hug her and keep her between them. They are both girls, btw. If they were boys, it'd really seem like vampires attacking a human for blood, lol. I assume their characters are vampires.

 And then they showed us some video from World Cosplay Summit, a cosplay convention that takes place in Nagoya I think and gathers cosplayers from around idk how many countries. Either 20 or 40?
The translator only translated for the last two girls, the others spoke by themselves, in Japanese.

 The comment up there is referring to how the hosts called it America language when she spoke two words in English, lol.

 USA spoke the best Japanese among them. She sounded completely like an American person when speaking in English, but had such a great Japanese accent. Really, it's alomst impossible to hear English people like that. Though Colette also spoke really clearly!
This USA was great, she was talkative and outgoing, and it seems she's actually a translator. Haha, she had some of USA's charistma!

 The translator had more popularity among the viewers than both the last two girls together haha. He was translating what the girl said, but kept adding a lot of things, spoke by himself and explained things. The girl stayed quiet most of the time lol.
But why My Little Pony?

 This girl had a dress that needed 10 meters of fabric but we were talking about the translator in the comments. The translator's working at World Cosplay Summit or something, and so does Belle. She's at the reception desk or how she called it, infopoint, I don't remember.
She was asked if the dress was heavy, and she said the fabric's light, so it's not really heavy.
Kami (Sailor Neptune) said she loves Disney Prinesses. And I think she went to Disneyland just to see them. (probably the one in Japan). This Belle had a kind of atmosphere of a princess.

 The Mikuman who made it popular among English speaking viewers is there. He became a star before you knew it and though nobody there had seen him speak or on stage, he was in the spotlight lol. Someone said he had his turn, probably before I tuned in.

 Usako with Rei. Rei even said his catchphrase "very well/ii desho". I think. Because I wasn't really in front of the computer when he did, so I kind of missed it. SOB

 The comment (which was actually mine as were also some of the earlier ones lol, the comment box was a bit lonely on the English speaking side) is what he actually said. He was asked what he'll cosplay next time and he said Í only cosplay Rei-chan". I really liked how he seemed to like the anime a lot. I ALSO DOO.
He said his nickname was Shiro, but the announcer Usako felt it was a bit lacking, because you can modify the name, like add suffixes and things, so he and the viewers (our point of view was a camera where they also saw the comment on nicovideo, the Japanese ones) decided on another. It's Hakube, I think. Well we don't know if he'll keep it.

  I like the Hakuryuu a lot. She talked a lot and didn't seem to have a care for the cameras and stuff. Great. And she was cool!

By the way, I checked. Only Japanese comments appeared on those screens in the back. Discrimination! I wanted my comment on TV! lol
The comment you can see on the screen was about UtaPuri, that's how someone sees it; and that's how it is lol.

 And Hakuryuu came to complain, because the Eren cosplayer's a guy and is cosplaying a guy, so it's notmal that she woudn't be as fit.
She also said (both earlier and now) that she'll be back tomorrow, I think dressed differently, if I remember it well, she said Ren Kouha. And Eren here is keeping the pattern and is going to cosplay with her tomorrow, asn Alibaba from Magi, who is voiced by the same Kaji Yuuki who voices Eren.

I'll stop writing everyone in the pic. You can go back for them...though maybe I should write them after all, beacue if you see one you want to know, you'll have to try searching for them and remember how they look like and things.

The Love Live girls. They were pleasant to the eye actually. Haha, it was nice how they were so different (very outgoing shorter one and very shy taller girl, she apologized a lot too), and how they made the fail heart pose twice because their height doesn't match (it involved using their arms, each was a  half of a heart. They said the shorter one invited the other one to cosplay with her here.

 By the way, that Shizuo was cool (in both ways). He came on stage with the girl wearing the blonde wig  (would she be Tsunemori Akane, I wonder?). The announcers assumed they were friends, bit it seems the girl came up to him before going on stage and asked him to let her go on the stage together with him because she was shy, and he accepted. Aww, so nice! And then he also said how cosplay's nice because it helps you become friends even with someone you meet for the first time. He said it in a cool way, haha. Also, he had a lollipop or lollipop stick in his mouth because he doesn't smoke! Kuuh!! so cute, he's so nice"
